Internet marketing can be very fun. However, their is a learning curve to it. It is a very rewarding industry but at the same time it can be very frustrating. Especially when you sit in front of the computer for hours un end and still don't come out with any kind of cash. A lot of people get started and quit immediately.
In the long run, you'll be better off than the rest of the people who just dove in. I dove in 5 years ago, which was great, but if I had enough common sense to learn from someone, I would have probably gotten their faster, but you know what? It doesn't matter because everyone learns at their own pace. So don't be sad if you are not getting enough traffic or what not.
It's all part of the game and the learning process in general. Take your time and do it step by step and marketing on the internet will be fun. Plus when the money starts rolling in, that you know it was worth it. A lot of people ask me what are the steps that are required to be a success on the internet.
Why would you offer the same thing twice right? People either want to see a better version of it or something totally out of the box. So the first step is definitely unique content. After that, the rest just flows. If you start off with something unique, you will naturally attract traffic because people will be interested in your 'new' idea or product. All you have to do is share your passion and the rest will take care of itself.
Just like in any business or any great thing that you are going to start, always know that if the base isn't strong, everything will go wrong. What I mean is your base or the foundation that you are going to lay for your business should be solid. It's all about the basics and same goes with starting an internet business. If you can't get that, that you'll have a real hard time. I'd like to share a personal story here on how I beat around the bush for so long and all I had to do was lay the foundation properly.
